From the sushi bar and the hibachi grill
About half the menu is grilled and cooked: hibachi beef, chicken and seafood served with soup, rice and vegetables. The other half is sushi, sashimi and chirashi. Vegetarian options are available from both the sushi bar and the hibachi grill.
Sushi & sashimi
Sushi Box, Assorted Sushi and Sashimi, Unagi Don, and the Love Boat for 2. Seafood is delivered twice a week from a sushi-quality supplier in Maryland.
Hibachi dinners
Chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, filet mignon, lobster tail or vegetables with tofu. Served with house soup, fried rice and vegetables.
Sushi specials
Asian Café Roll, Double Dragon, Green Dragon, Red Dragon, Lobster Tempura, Spider Web, Spicy Girl, Tokyo Roll and more.
Lunch
Hibachi lunch with house soup, fried rice and vegetables. Sushi lunch with miso soup: choice of 2 or 3 rolls, or 4 pieces of sushi and 1 roll.
Chinese specialties & desserts
Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken. For dessert, mochi, Japanese ice cream (mango and red bean) and cheesecake.
Independent and owner-operated
Owners Jim and his wife Ling have many years of experience in food establishments in Maryland and Culpeper, Virginia. The Cafe offers fresh, made-to-order dishes in a pleasant dining room, with dark wood booths and tables and a Japanese-style sushi bar.
You’ll find us at #103 Jefferson Center, near the main entrance to Lake Monticello, proudly serving all of Fluvanna County. Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations for large groups are appreciated.
